Inchie's GONE WILD

I just want to let everyone know that the
INCHIES ARE POSTAL.
( Image Source: Rosemary's Inchies for the swap. Aren't these great. I love her cheeky humor.)

These are some of the fabby inchies in the swap. I'll post more pictures later, but I don't have them with me at work. I was in too big a rush to get the packages out to sit and fiddle with the camera and the computer, etc... Plus, I kinda got up a bit late this morning...OOPS!

Woo Hoo!

I got the last batch in the mail yesterday. Finished distribution and packaging last night.

And got them to the post office before lunch today. Hopefully you will get them really soon.

I really, really, really enjoyed hosting this swap. The works of ART are amazing. I am so impressed. And honored to know you talented ladies. PLUS, I didn't know that you get goodies. And extra inchies. And it's great getting to fondle them all before sending them off to their new owners. (Sorry for all the fingerprints. LOL Just kidding. I wiped them all off. No. Really. There weren't any fingerprints. No inchies were harmed during the making of this swap.)

I will do this again. Sometime. Maybe with twinchies, moo's, postcards, skinny's or recipe cards.

Hmmmm..... The gears are turning.

2010... the year of VISION

VISION has many slightly different definitions.
According to Merriam-Webster it means:

- 1 a : something seen in a dream, trance, or ecstasy; especially : a supernatural appearance that conveys a revelation b : a thought, concept, or object formed by the imagination c : a manifestation to the senses of something immaterial

- 2 a : the act or power of imagination b (1) : mode of seeing or conceiving (2) : unusual discernment or foresight c : direct mystical awareness of the supernatural usually in visible form

-3 a : the act or power of seeing : sight b : the special sense by which the qualities of an object (as color, luminosity, shape, and size) constituting its appearance are perceived through a process in which light rays entering the eye are transformed by the retina into electrical signals that are transmitted to the brain via the optic nerve

-4 a : something seen b : a lovely or charming sight

I think that all of them are applicable to my goals. Most fitting are 1a and 4b. I want my dreams to be realized (word from 2009). In order for this to occur, I need to visualize.

***************

"I think VISION is my word. I can accomplish anything I set my mind to with a VISION. I need to do many things that I have been putting off. 2010 is the year." - my comment on Ali's blog regarding One Little Word for 2010

There are many, many words that would work with my goals/plans for 2010.

But I am going with VISION for many reasons.

As I said, I usually accomplish more if I can visualize "IT". I need to:

* Get healthy. Eat better. Eat less. Weigh less.
* Get moving - as in excersize.
* Organize my craft room (purge).
* Gain a better relationship with my teenage daughters. It isn't really bad, I just know it could be better.
* Attain the marriage I think I deserve. Schedule more dates.
* Appreciate my youngest more. She is growing way too quickly.
* Dress better. (see first goal.)
* Blog better. I am already off to a good start. Don't cha think?!?!
* Take better care of myself in general. I recently have been diagnosed with Acute Angle Glaucoma. Nothing I did to cause it, but it is scary. I have to have surgery on both eyes in the next few weeks. Surgery that is necessary to keep my VISION. (another reason for my word)
* Make more specific lists. Part of my dilemna is that I am too general. I need to start getting down to the nitty gritty.

I intend to use this blog to help me accomplish my VISION. You poor visitors will have to endure tedious posts until I can get the hang of it. Thanks for supporting me on this journey.

SWAP-BOT Fav color received

I received this wonderful package for the SWAP-BOT favorite color match box swap.

I requested red, purple or orange for this swap.

Can you believe how much she managed to fit into this little box?!?!

Isn't it great. I love the sparkle in everything.

And that lollipop ornament is too adorable.

Thank you so much Andi.

Jingle me happy

I love to blurf. I could waste days just cruising around other blogs. My fav's are crafty ones with a bit of life thrown in. Makes me feel normal. Those that include food, are just pure heaven. Anyway, I found JUST JINGLE in the past couple of months and have been visiting her regularly. She is witty and crafty and real. She hosted a Christmas swap, JINGLE SWAP 2009. Naturally I signed up. We were to send 10 items to our partner, 3 of which were to be handmade. Easy peasy.
I was partnered up with a woman who lives within a 30 minute drive. How cool is that!!! Once the hectic pace of the Holidays settles down, we may even try to meet for a coffee or two. Here are the wonderful goodies she sent to me.
Isn't that the most adorable Santa, the candle (made by her) smells delish, and the chocolates, 'nuf said...

And here are the goodies I sent to her. I sent her a handmade framed Christmas Tree, a set of Thank You cards that I made, and the flowers are actually pens. The cookies are my favorite this year, those snowmen just yelled to be hers, the blanket is one of the softest I have felt. You really can't tell but the mug is a little ornament, and the package next to it is a set of adorable erasers shaped like wonderful tasty desserts. I also included some sticky notes and a set of pens. You always have lists around this time of year. ( and the rest of the year too.)

If you remember, and I am sure you will because once you visit JUST JINGLE you are sure to keep going back, sign up for the JINGLE SWAP 2010. (Crossing my fingers that she'll host it again.)

SWAP-BOT

I found a new obsession, er, ah, I mean, a new playground. SWAP-BOT is a hosting site for swaps. I signed up and browsed around. I saw these adorable little matchboxes that were decorated and then filled with lovely little goodies.
Naturally I signed up for one. I found a Favorite Color swap. You send your partner a matchbox decorated and filled with goodies in their color choice. My partner likes highlighter yellow and electric blue. Here's what I came up with:

The matchbox is a 32 ct in size. I had NO idea what that was, but there is a template available on SWAP-BOT made by the founder, Rachel. It is roughly 1.5 inches by 2 inches by 1/2 inch. It was easy to make. Felt good to cut it out and glue it up. I printed the pattern onto regular paper and traced it onto the pretty papers I used. My partner has a well filled out profile, so I was able to send her some of the things she liked. They aren't really in the highlighter yellow or electric blue category, but I think they worked well anyway. The wire and fruit used on the outside of the box can be taken off and she can use them for other crafts if she wants to.

And here are the contents of the box.
I sent things she wanted and things I thought would work.
I also sent some shells because I am in Virginia Beach.

Thanks for looking. I am working on my Holiday Fun Matchbox swap today.
Maybe I'll see you in one of the future swaps.
