Take a picture....

The challenge at OPUS GLUEI right now is:

Take a picture, it'll last longer.

Here's my take on this challenge:

This year one of my goals is to take a family picture once a month. Not a portrait. That would be impossible. No, I am not exaggerating. It would be like teaching worms to play football. Yeah, it would be just like that. Anyway, we had one taken last week, so I made a layout. ('Cuz another goal is to get some scrapbooking done.) This page is completely digital. I might have a book printed at the end of the year. Or not. Don't know yet. BUT, I have a picture of our family. Right now. AND I have a layout. SCORE!

I used layout #189 from Creative Scrappers.

Background is Mamarazzti, flowers are from Kitschy Digitals by Danielle Thompson, other "papers" are from Digital Freebies from last January. Put together using PSE 7. That's it.

OH, and I finally learned how to add drop shadows in PSE. I am beside myself with thrilled-ness. I love learning new tricks. I haven't taken a class. I should. I will. Someday. Until then, every little trick I learn tickles me PINK.

Now it's your turn. Head over to OPUS GLUEI, and show us your picture challenge.

No, don't take a class. Be like me. I don't knkow what I'm doing and I love it. Welcome to digiland. It's good to see a LO from you and an awesome digi one at that! Well done!

So cool! I don't think I've ever seen you do a digi layout before. Very nice! The more you play with it the more you'll learn all the tricks and stuff. You really can do it on your own. Greatness! It helps too if you hang out on other digi scrapper sites and see different techinques. They'll walk you through them on most of them.

This is awesome! I would love to do digi scrapbooking. What a neat layout and the flowers are so cool!
I took a class in photoshop, and used to have Elements 6 before I bought the Adobe Creative Suite.
You can take classes (for a small fee $9.00 a month or $25.00 a year) at Linda (dot) com. They may have classes that would be pertinent to what you want out of your software. I have a couple of books (and they do make PSE for dummies)... no offense to you.
Shoot me a question and I may be able to answer you. FYI... I will share my education with you!
